If Tyler is your guy why are you not standing on street corners holding one of his signs campaigning for him. Not afraid you will get your booty run over are you?

She interned at the Harris County DA's office while in law school. Later she went to work there. She then went into private practice for several years to round out her career as well as see which side she enjoyed working on the most. This experience also helped her qualify to become Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Less than 1% of District Attorneys have earned this distinction. In Victoria County former DA George Filley and Ms. Branch are the only members of this distinction. Mr. Tyler is not. While still in private practice then Victoria DA Dexter Eaves was looking for someone to handle abuse cases here (most specifically sexual abuse) and wanted a woman because children and women are usually more comfortable telling their stories to a woman. Ms. Branch was recommended to Mr. Eaves by a Harris County judge so he invited her here to come work in the Victoria County DA office for him. Same office Tyler worked in at the time. Eaves did not do a great job as DA so when he came up for re-election 4 years ago he lost in the Democratic primary to Frank Henderson. Tyler ran as a Republican and won in the general election 4 years ago. I voted for him as many others did… but never again . Mr. Tyler did not offer Ms. Branch a job but the Bee County DA did. Because Ms. Branch chooses to be on the criminal prosecution side she took the job rather than go into private practice here defending criminals like most "X" DA's do. She drives to Beeville to the DA's office daily where she is an asst. DA for Bee, Live Oak and McMullen Counties of Texas. Before January of this year I would not have known Ms. Branch if she stepped on my foot. I researched her and sought her out get to know and meet her. I now know without a doubt she is qualified and the person we need going forward in our DA's office. All of the folks on this forum on Tylers side of the fence have always been on his side. Me I used to be but am no longer. Mr. Tylers supporters want you to believe there is some mysterious mafia of good old boys that run this town and all political offices. There may be a few that think they do… but they do not. I can tell you there are some wonderful folks that donate to every good cause they can in this community from all the high school booster clubs to various other civic and non-profit organizations. They also serve on numerous boards and volunteer organizations and know Ms. Branch through these type associations. It is shameful that Mr. Tyler friends want to put them in a different light to try and scare you into voting for Mr. Tyler. But then again that is how Mr. Tyler operates so I guess we can not expect his supporters to a have much better moral character than Mr. Tyler has.
Oh, and when Tyler is out of work (very soon) bet you he and his best buds open up a practice here defending criminals. You watch, just watch. Hope he has a spot in his office for his sleazy campaign manager becuase folks running for office in the future will never hire him again except in the event they want to run a sleazy losing campaign. Tyler calls a press conference the first day of early voting to announce the indictment of 16 gang members; he now calls another press conference to announce giving money to the constables. The guy says he is not a politician??? He lied at the League of Women Voters Forum stating he has only spent $2000 in his failed 3 1/2 debacle prosecution attempt of 5 local city and law enforcement officials. He is running false ads trying to blame Ms. Branch for not prosecuting the underwear bandit (pervert) when both Tyler and Branch worked for then DA Dexter Eaves. He knows fully well she is not responsible for the guy going free any more than he himself was because they were both assistants DA's under Eaves who called the shots at that time. I knew shortly after helping elect Tyler to DA four years ago that I had made a serious mistake. Tyler continues to find ways to prove to me and the vast majority of the community that he is a rabid pit bull that needs to be put to sleep. You folks that can not see or realize that will soon see how wrong you are as all indications are Branch will win with a landslide of support. Stand by .....the rabid pit bull is not done yet. Word on the street is he has more sleazy politics coming that will beat anything this community has ever seen. Not a politician.... man that is the truth the guy is an idiot when it comes to politics and/or being a professional and a gentleman.
So you believe Mr. Ocker is the only one that believes in supporting the community? Mr. Pozzi has done more for this community than Ocker probably ever will...but you would not no that because my guess is you have zero knowlegde about Mr. Pozzi and have never attended even a single commissioners court meeting.
If you look at the paint peeling off Ockers signs it looks like $53.00 is all he spent and paid to much. The guy has no business running the county. In regards to Pozzi's contibutions you have to realize Krueger and folks like him are also citizens that care a lot about the community they live in. If they choose to donate to a person they think has the communites best interest in heart .... what would you have them do with the money? Consider what you yourself give back to this community if you give at all. If you had some to give wouldn't you give it to someone or something?
That is Tyler’s problem. He thinks that he is the God of law so if you disagree with him you have to be wrong because he is always 100% right. If your interpretation of law is anything except 100% aligned with his you have to be wrong. He is a good lawyer and hard worker. With that said he is the most vindictive jerk that has ever held office in this county in the 50+ years I have lived here. It is nice that some of his employees and his campaign manager are using this venue to defend him. But don't worry I do not think Ms. Branch is planning to fire you and/or clean house like Tyler did when he took the office. My belief is she will give you a fair shot at keeping your job since you folks are the ones really doing the work building the cases anyway. My guess is what you have learned from Mr. Tyler’s work ethic and what you will learn about Ms. Branch’s will make you much happier and more secure than you are now. In regards to you folks suggesting most cops are lazy.... shame on you. Also it is not just a few officers that are tired of Tyler treating them like idiots... it’s the vast majority that want him out. I walk up to every cop I see and ask them and not one has told me that Tyler is anything more than a tyrant. These guys do not want him out to make their jobs easier .... but it’s so their chosen profession is at least bearable because they get enough bunk already from arrogant speeders and others they encounter everyday in doing their jobs. They just don't like showing up in court and finding out Tyler is as interested in treating them like clowns as he is in padding his conviction rate. That's what the rift is about. Just like me at my job ....all these guys want is a little respect becuase they have not been treated with any for the past 3 1/2 years by the current D.A. Tyler.
Interesting reading since I made the initial post. I can not imagine that anyone that watches the hour long Advocast above, that may have had any question in their minds before, would not think that Mr. Tyler is much more than an egotistical jerk. Hard worker no question about it. I appreciate that and appreciate that about him. What I do not like about him is the way he uses polygraphs on abuse victims as a litmus test to whether he will take a case. I do not like him putting into play litigation against various city and law enforcement officials costing the tax payers hundreds of thousands of dollars and saying that at the League of Women Voters Forum that he only spent $2000 and is not responsible for costs incurred by the other entities. I do not like the fact that after losing the cases he continues to pursue them and then fumbles the entire deal by not filing his brief on time (which is what he claims to have spent the $2000 on for an outside attorney). I do not like the fact that he hired Ratliff (pedophile) and wants us to believe he did it as a self sacrifice so he could keep and eye on him for us and for other law enforcement officials. I could go on and on and on because I have done my homework on the guy. Hard worker .... he is no doubt. I am glad to know he has a couple of friends that will stand up for him because November 2, 2010 about 7:30PM he is going to need you to lean on. Then he can move on and be an awesome D.A. on Venus or the Sun or some other barren scorched plant where his efforts do not harm as many decent innocent folks as it does the guilty and the criminals.
