We deserve closure, so I am in favor of showing the body. I don't even mind if the gruesome part of the head wound is blurred, but I do want to see the body. However, I also feel as though that the Advocate should have the image on a page buried within section A of the paper with a warning.
In my previous life, I was a news photojournalist for several television stations in Texas. I can tell you that once we found out from police on the scene that it was a suicide, we packed our gear and left. Didn't report that on the news that night. Left it alone. However, that's not to say we didn't shoot any footage if it turned out to be a homicide just in case there was more to the story that couldn't be seen at the time of the death.
Very interesting article. To think what could have been.
Seguin has had their plant in place for awhile now, and it's up and running.
I'll just bet the copper thieves just hit the jackpot!
At least Mike, the coaches do still have a say where they'll be playing their playoff games prior to the state championship. That was a great run by the Comanches in 2004.
I'm surprised they're not a 1A school. Perhaps they'd be able to win at least a second game a season.
Congratulations on your anniversary. As a former VHS band student, you guys were always there when I had problems with my saxophone. Here's hoping for another 100 years!
Mike if you remember, Shiner had to come from behind to beat Randolph 32-31 to go undefeated that season late in the fourth quarter of that game. That game ultimately showed the Comanches how to come from behind and to clamp a game down. You nailed it right. Takes luck, perseverance, and skill to take it all...
'Heads in Beds'...Victoria has to have them to raise additional tax monies to finance a Convention and Visitors Bureau, and if there aren't any events worth coming to, or sights to see, or things to do, then why should I come to Victoria? Since Victoria decided to release the previous Visitor Bureau director (she's now in Goliad), there hasn't been anyone to watch over the department. To get the word out, Victoria has to get the word out about why people should come here. Simply, it hasn't been done...there is no presence of Victoria at tourism trade shows I've attended and I've been going to them for years now. Events? The previous posters have addressed that... Victoria is a tourism train wreck that needs to built up from the bottom. Plain and simple.
