"When people say Cuero, you say Gobblers. When people say San Antonio, you say Alamo. When people say Victoria, we want them to say boots."

This is completely misguided. You do not want people to say "boots" when it comes to Victoria. You want them to say "Crossroads", use what we have already associated with Victoria and expand that concept. Boots? People think boots with Texas. Leave boots alone. It's a stagnant concept in Texas, just my opinion.

"The Ocker whiners need to get over it... It should be common knowledge that Jabbour was the local democratic chair... Who really cares? That has nothing to do with the party; they will get another chair and it has nothing to do with a bias. ...IMO"

yea who cares, right? I mean who cares about actually learning something that one did not know from the news, right? I mean why do we even need to learn new things, when we can just remain uninformed. Appearently everybody knows this, so why mention it at all.

Come on advocate. This is just sloppy reporting. How can you fail to mention that the man chair's the Victoria County Democratic Party? I can't tell if this is so much a political bias or just sub-par reporting that everyone has come to expect from the Advocate. I am more inclined to lean towards the latter.

How the hell do I know they're just bringing my trash can in? Shoot first, ask questions later. Anything less would be uncivilized.

well what else would they be bringing in with the trash can? yea i bet a lot of criminals are thinking i am going to throw this person off and make them think i am a good neighbor but really i am going to break into this person's home.

I hope you're not my neighbor, then. If I see someone skulking around the side of my house, I'm going to open fire. It's not your place to put up my trash can, neighbor or no.

wow what an idiot. sure that makes a lot of sense. gonna open fire on someone bringing your trash can to your house. do you know how stupid that sounds? people on both sides are being ridiculous. who cares if someone's trashcan is left out still on the road. and who cares if someone wants to be a nice neighbor and bring it in for them. you people need to lighten up.
