"Kaci, you are doing the right thing. Even though it is no longer politically correct to protect your child, do it anyway. I don't care what the other parents are saying. I have been on three sides of the bullying. I was bullied, my daughter was bullied, and I had a foster child that bullied. With my daughter, I stood up for her. The last question I asked her elementary school principal is did she want me to take my concerns to the local media or the state board of education? This took place in a prestigeous Texas school district, ligt years away from VISD. You took it to the local media. If changes do not take place immediately, your next step SHOULD be the state board of education. With my foster son, I walked him to call each day and reminded him, his teacher and his classmates that he was to treat others with respect or he would lose out on privilidges at home. I told the kids that if any of them had a problem with him, they were to tell me. I did it for my foster son and for the other people that he encountered each and every day. It is time for parents to stand up and take care of their kids instead of letting them act like little thugs."
