  • Human obsession with the end of the world is to say the least, unhealthy. Homo sapiens or mankind will one day cease to exist; this is the inevitable course of all species. You don’t need a date or God to tell you that, however it was kind of God to make this know to us.

Every day the world ends for someone, is that any different than from the world ending for all, not really. Whatever fears we have about this life ending are based on our perceptions and our reactions to them.

So whether it is 2012 or 2165, does it matter enough to change who you are or what you do?

If the answer is yes, then I’m sorry.

Read a book, make love, or drink some beer; but don’t worry people.

  • No, I don't think the world will end in 2012--the main reason being, everyone thinks it will.

32 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. 34 It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming --- in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning ---36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!" ~~Mark 13:32-37

This pretty much settles it for me.

  • I don't know about December 21, 2012, but I know that 11 days later... the world will enter a new year... a year of... 2013!

  • Trust me Aubrey, unless you die before it happens, you will see the sequence of events. Like many, you will truly fear the Lord, but that fear will mean honoring our creator and praying for His fogiveness. You see, Aubrey, the Holy Spirit will also be in heaven at this time. The Holy Spirit's power is the only earthly entity keeping Satan from completely taking over the earth. Satan has dominion over the earth and is real. He walks the earth to and fro seeking whomever he can destroy. He doesn't care how he gets you, as long as God doesn't get you. His demons are legion, and have permission to inflict all kinds of damage. Think what you will, but remember that at one point in time, you were offered the truth of the gospel. " For God so loved the world that whosever believeth in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

  • freethinker, Christians don't die. They are alive in Heaven.

  • Sorry Aubrey, but Jack and Rexella had the corner on prophecy interpretations way before Hagee. They never hint at the ugliness of Hitler as being God's will, and constantly reinforce the fact that the Jews are God's chosen people. About the same time Hal Lindsey began his journey into prophesy with The Late Great Planet Earth. World events all begin and will end with Israel and an unconditional covenant made to Abraham. I think the Impes may be Catholic, not sure, as their ministry is to all Christians.
I have read Hagee but only for the timeline perspective as it applies to the nation of Israel. I have walked away from many a ministry that condemns or judges from a skewed interpretation.
I told my hub about last night, and he said he is definitely planning on retiring at 59.5, so we can enjoy the blessings God has given us. Just a thought for you. Did you know that 80% of the European Union would vote to elect Obama as its world leader? I really don't know if this will happen, but the stage is being set for a one world socialist government, a one world currency with China as its biggest fan, and a one world religion. I don't know which religion will dominate. True Christians will be raptured out and kept from this hour of testing, and we will watch from heaven as these events take place. The second coming of Christ also deals with Israel. Israel has risen from the ashes of a people without a country, and as of 1948 is a nation that is still the target of the world. America will also give up her allegiance to Israel, and God's chosen people will turn back to their first love, God. God will rescue his bride from the world. 1000 years of peace will follow as Jesus returns to His throne. Christians are the bride of Christ, but Israel is the bride of God. It is a spititual mystery that will soon come to pass. I really wasn't going to do this again, but at some point in time, it will be necessary for those left on this earth to think, "I guess she wasn't nuts after all." The Holy Spirit really pushes me forward in this kind of ministry, and I fight it tooth and nail, but end up giving up by spreading the gospel once again.

  • I’m going to put it like this.

The year is around 2075 or 2085.

    1. The human population on earth is half of what it is today.
    2. The main industry on the planet is restoration of the earth.
    3. Humans are live on self-sustaining orbiting habitats that have the capacity to venture out into deep space.
    4. No plagues exist.
    5. No (large areas) of radioactivity exist.
    6. The environment is stabile.
    7. Major metropolitan areas on the planet have micro forest and jungles within them, blending them into the local habitat.
    8. Any human being can travel across the planet within hours.
    9. The borders of existing countries are as they are now, more or less.
    10. The average life expectancy is 150 years.
    11. Humans live on Mars preserving the existing environment.
    12. Humans exist far outside what is our know solar system today, and expand further each year.
    13. There is no shortage of resources.
    14. The major human interplanetary industries are, entertainment, research and development, robotics, artificial intelligence development, and merchandising.

There is more of what I “imagine” the future will be, but what’s the point.

Bottom line, what trials and tribulations we may have to endure, I believe our great great grandchildren will not.

The “kingdom of heaven” is in you, open your hearts so that it may light your way; and you will see.

“Of what consequence are our lives if they only serve themselves, but in service to what is good our deeds are eternal?” - John

  • Christians have been saying the end times are near for two thousand years. Jesus even told the people he was speaking to in the bible that he would be back before they died and it didn't happen. Throughout the ages there have been many people predicting the end of the earth and they have all been wrong.

    April 23, 2009 at 12:05 a.m.

  • Start watching Jack Van Impe on Wednesday at 8:30. He will definitely enlighten all who watch, as he discusses the New World Order that is probably being ushered in by our very own president. There will be a 3 year peace treaty arranged between the Arab nations and Israel. The 3 year treaty is the key to the beginnings of the One Government World. This treaty will be broken in 3. 5 years. If Obama is reelected, it could very well be during his administration. I hope not, but it is possible. America could become very vulnerable with efforts to decrease our missile defense capabilities as part of his peace process. The world will not end. However, there will be 7 years of wars that will destroy about two thirds of the earth. Jesus will return to save Israel, and all the world will recognize Him. In fact, after Jesus returns, we will have 1000 years of peace.

  • Rebirth. The mayan calendar says that December 21,2012 is a day of great change....it says nothing about the end of the end of it all....the people want to make it sound so dramatic, but we looked at this in my latin american class in college and it doesnt say anything about the end of all we know.
