Pain in the back

Dad's back has been hurting since yesterday. I gave him Tylenol arthritis medicine and rubbed his back with Icy Hot; that seemed to help. I have a heating pad but I can't leave it on him for long because he might fool with the heat settings and burn himself.

If he's not feeling better by tomorrow I will call the hospice doctor. I can't tell if it's his kidneys (he has renal failure and they could have gotten worse) or maybe he pulled a muscle while he was bowling with the Xbox. Whatever it is, I hate to see him hurting.

He started having pains after he bowled for a while yesterday evening. That's why I thought maybe he pulled a muscle. He only started complaining about the back pain after that. I was in the garage folding clothes while he was bowling so I didn't see if he pulled the wrong way or something.

Anyway, he's gone to bed now. I gave him one Tylenol and rubbed more icy hot on his back. I hope he sleeps well and feels better in the morning.
