Image Dad relaxing in a lawn chair while I'm raking leaves.

Dad is better today. Still a little more confused than usual, but I managed to get him showered and shaved this morning. He took a long nap after that. I think the sound of the lawnmower woke him up. I was outside mowing the grass and when I went in the house he was awake in his room.

Dad ate a pretty good breakfast of waffles and an egg, strawberry ice-cream, coffee, and a glass of milk. He took his vitamins after a little coaxing. Now he's comfortably snoozing in a lawn chair beside me on the patio. I'm thinking he'd better close his mouth or he might catch a fly or two.

I've got a little enclosed fire pit with a small fire going in it here in the back yard. It feels like camping....almost.

This fresh air is bound to do him good. The sunlight should be good for him even though right now he's sitting in the shade. Dad just woke up with a snort and turned to look at me. I told him my thoughts about his open mouth and the flies; he chuckled and said that would make a pretty good snack. My dad the comedian.

Tomorrow, if the weather stays nice and Dad feels alright, we're going to Rockport for lunch at Moondogs. We'll get dad some oysters and shrimp and he will be a happy man.
