I honestly believe my Dad is doing as well as he is because of everyone's prayers and positive thoughts. I sure thank you all!

Daddy was having tremors and spasms in his face, left arm and left leg. I was pretty sure he'd had a stroke while he was in the hospital. It turned out to be the medicine or antibiotic he was given; he's so allergic to so many different drugs. By Tuesday morning his spasms had stopped and I was glad to see him speaking, eating and walking normally.

Two of our sons, Christopher and Bob, our daughter Janine and Robert's sister Sherry all came down to see Dad when it looked like Dad's health was going downhill fast. It's been wonderful spending time with them and it's certainly made my life easier and less sressful in the past week.

My daughter Janine left this morning to fly back to California. She was a little ray of sunshine. She cleaned the house and watched Dad so I could have a little free time for myself. Bob, Christopher and Sherry watched Dad while Janine and I went shopping on Janine's 30th birthday (March 10th). We had a blast buying boots on sale at J.C. Penney's, eating lunch at Subway and getting haircuts at MasterCuts.

Today Bob grilled fish and vegetable kabobs while Christopher was driving Janine to Houston to catch her flight home. Sherry vacuumed the living room and kept an eye on Dad. So much help! I felt positively spoiled.

Dad's sister Velma came by for a quick visit to see how he was doing. He's one of two remaining brothers and I know she loves him a lot. I'm going to start forwarding my blogs to her and my uncle so she'll get updates on his health.

Dad has been sleeping a lot. He seems to be having more aches and pains and he talks about his mother a lot. I know he misses her. I'm sure he'll see her some day soon. I can't remember exactly when she passed away...it was in the 80's, I'm pretty sure. He talks about what a loving mother she was and how she took such good care of him and his brothers and sisters.

Well, we're going to take each day as it comes and try not to look too far into the future. I'm grateful for each day I have with my dad, but I don't feel so selfish that I want him to stay longer if he has to go. And as I said before I am grateful for your prayers. Many blessings to each of you!
