This morning the thunder was rolling in, pretty soon the rain came down; it sounded so beautiful. I wanted to snuggle down deeper in the covers and sleep some more, but I knew I had to return the 'Rug Doctor' I had rented the day before, to H-E-B at 9:30 am.

I got up and made coffee and started breakfast while my husband Robert chivalrously volunteered to take the steam cleaner back to the store for me. I made fresh tortillas with scrambled eggs, diced spinach, salsa and green olives. By the time Robert returned, breakfast was ready and we sat down to eat. It was fresh and delicious.

After breakfast I straightened up the kitchen and started a load of clothes. I ended up folding clothes, hanging clothes, putting clothes away. Then I vacuumed, changed the sheets on our bed. I walked on the treadmill for thirty minutes.

All day long the rain fell down. The soft sound of it hitting the roof of the house beckoned to me -- 'take a nap, take it easy, if you were at work today you would be wishing you were home listening to the rain and falling asleep.' I resisted the urge and kept on working.

Tomorrow is Monday and a work day. No chance of taking a nap tomorrow; I wasted a perfectly wonderful rainy day. There should be a law against that kind of stupidity...
