Obama's speech to nation's students

President Obama will be giving his third annual back-to-school speech on Wednesday.

The White House says the president will encourage students to stay in school study hard, set goals and believe in themselves.

Sounds noble enough to me!

But of course, we can't forget the uproar, especially in Texas, surrounding Obama's first speech to students in 2009. Many feared Obama would use the air time to indoctrinate youngsters and push an agenda.

Here are videos of his first two speeches along with the transcripts.

Each school in VISD will be airing the speech, whether live or recorded. VISD is still offering parents the opportunity to opt their kids out of viewing the speech though.
