Dear Readers: Gay, lesbian, and bisexual people just want to be accepted like everyone else, why can't we just welcome them and comfort them? They are constantly bombarded with the belief that they aren't good enough, and we need to tell them it's okay to be who you are! As God loves and cherishes every single one of us, we need to love and cherish each other. “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven." Luke 6:37 We don't have a right to judge anyone, so why not just be peaceful with one another? Homosexual people are still human beings and just want to be loved. So let's all be loving to our neighbors and make a better world for everyone. Lots of Love, Alice

Original Ask Alice:

Dear Alice: Why do people have to be so mean to gay people? I have been homosexual for a few years now and the insults just keep coming. I’m tired of being the butt of jokes and people looking down on me and my friends! -Sick of Jokes

Dear Sick of Jokes: You are right, it is time people stopped making fun of homosexual people for being different. Some people just can't leave their prejudices behind, or can't except change. Gay people are still people and shouldn't be judged by their sexuality, because that doesn't affect anyone but themselves. All I can say to you is keep up your pride and you are perfect the way you are, no matter what someone says about your sexuality. If you still feel that you need cheering up or advice, the new itgetsbetter.org will give you advice from people who have been in your shoes and can coach you through high school and even show you different groups you can join for more support.
