I agree with Alton. Thicker skin!
While it is true that it is never ok to make fun of another human being just because they are different, it is also true that other people's point of view should not be dismissed. I respect and love those people of the human race who are gay, but that doesn't mean that I have to accept or agree with their choice of lifestyle. God does indeed love everyone equally because we are his children, but he also makes it very clear that he did not design humans to be homosexual. It is very clear that God does not agree with homosexuality, but that doesn't mean that he ever stops loving his children. The problem with people in this day and age is that they think that just because the views of the world society have changed, that it makes it ok to change with them. Not so. God does not change. He is the same today as he always was, and just because the world changes, doesn't mean he has changed. As I have said before, homosexuals are our brother and sisters and should be treated as such. But just because we love someone, doesn't mean we have to always agree with what they do. Judgments of a person's actions is not judgment of the person themselves.
It was best explained to me with this" What we do not understand we ridicule". Patrick Barnes
What stop making jokes and fun of people different from us, someone must be dreaming. I contend it is human nature to make jokes and fun of people different from us. A&M jokes, Cajun jokes, famer jokes, religious jokes, blonde jokes, yankee jokes, southern jokes, redneck jokes, fat jokes, skinny jokes, little Johnny jokes, and many more are just part of our culture. Sextual jokes are not limited to homosexuals, they occur across the board. Time to get a thick skin, because there is always going to be some thing people will find to make fun of you about. We have and will experience being made fun of.
