Dear Alice: I think about suicide sometimes. I have a doctor that I go talk to about my problems but I don't want to tell her. I want her to think that I'm doing better. What should I do? -Lost

Dear Lost:You should always tell your doctor about suicidal thoughts. Asking someone for help is never weakness; it shows how courageous you are for speaking up. Your doctor can help you work through your feelings and maybe even prescribe you medication to help you feel better. If you are thinking about suicide, please don't do it. Life can be really cruel sometimes, but killing yourself isn't worth it. You must talk to your doctor soon, and if you need immediate help, call the suicide hotline at 1-800-273-8255. Talk to your parents and close friends too. They can help you through these rough times. You don't have to feel alone in this. People care about you and want you to get help so they can continue loving you. -Lots of Love, Alice.
