We know every student in the area is eagerly awaiting the end of the school year.

We also know parents are busy looking for things to keep their children occupied and entertained this summer.

The Advocate is putting together its annual Summer Fun Zone section, which features all types of summer activities for children.

We are looking for businesses, groups and organizations that are planning summer events for children to send us your information to fill the section. Activities can include, but are not limited to, cheerleading camp, vacation Bible school, day camps, sporting camps, music lessons, sewing lessons, scout camp, photography lessons, science and other school related camps, and dance lessons.

Send your information, complete with a description of what is offered, time, date, and place, cost if any, and contact number to; fax to 361-574-1220, or mail to Victoria Advocate, attention Summer Fun, P.O. Box 1518, Victoria Texas 77901, or you can hand deliver the information to us in the newsroom on the second floor at 311 E. Constitution St.

Deadline to submit is Friday, April 20.

The section will publish Sunday, May 13.
