Good morning! Tell me your concerns about Victoria and the immediate area, and our editorial board will tackle the problems.
Our editorial board meets on Wednesday afternoons, so there's plenty of time to let us know your concerns.
Some of the topics we will touch on this week include the Carver Center's badly needed repairs, the bicyclist accident (elderly man not given ticket for violation), and twitter in the workplace.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, Tim Delaney - Community Conversation Editor tdelaney@vicad.com 361-580-6313

Thanks for your input legion357 and John 123. I'll take them to the editorial board meeting.
August 5, 2009 at 11:55 a.m.John 123, it's not so much that an old man didn't get a ticket, it's that not everything is black and white. And in this case, the officer did the right thing by not citing the man.
That's our opinion about the occurence.
Again, thanks for the input.
How about asking some of the local used car dealers how the feel about the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
After all, since all vehicles traded in using this program will be scraped, there ability to buy "trade ins" at auction will be reduced.
I'm sure that a 98 Chevy pick up, the one mentioned in the recent article, could have been sold to someone that cannot afford new car payments, instead of being squashed, shredded and sold for a $1 or $2 per 100#s.
August 3, 2009 at 5:51 p.m.Mr. Delaney,
Fire up the ole police scanner in the office and I'm sure you guys will have plenty of topics. Topics that are a lot more exciting than an old man not getting a ticket...
