Voters are offered a chance to see and hear their Victoria school board candidates next week. The election is May 14.
The Advocate will feature C.J. Svetlik, incumbent school trustee in District 3, and his opponent Garland Smith. The candidates will answer questions during a Q-and-A session scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Viewers can access the live session by going to the Advocate’s website: www.victoriaadvocate.com.
The session will be recorded for those who cannot watch the approximately one-hour long session. The video will be posted on the Advocate’s website.
We are working on scheduling another session at 1:30 p.m. Thursday that would feature District 1 candidates Kevin VanHook and Jake Gonzalo Flores.
Remember, the deadline for sending election-related letters for publication on the Advocate’s Viewpoints page is 5 p.m. May 6. Maximum word length for election related letters is 200 words.
