i always had the ones where you pick a number and choose from a pile of presents. those are more fun since you can then include joke gifts. i gifted a half-eaten box of cereal once. buying junk at the dollar store can be fun, too. i've gifted a container of communion wafers one time, but that wasn't for work.
The worst gift I ever received from a 'secret santa' at a work exchange was a a box of L'Oreal Hair Color! My secret santa felt I should change my hair color from dull brown to blonde. My advice to all future 'secret santa's' - stick with lottery tickets or gift cards -- Please!
