Fans of Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater get to re-live their timeless love. “Titanic” will premier in 3D on Wednesday. It’s been 15 years since the original. It may sound cliché, but time really does fly. I remember all the hype around the love tale. Being a film rebel, meaning I movie watch on my own terms, I was averse to it.

My good friend begged me to come with her. I obliged. Little did I know the great love story that unfolded. I was aware of the tragedy in a historic sense, but this human interest element grabbed me. Admittedly my eyes watered up, because my allergies really started to bother me, just kidding. It's safe to bet that I wasn't alone until "Avatar" came along, "Titanic" was the highest grossing film at the box office earning $1.8 billion. James Cameron wasn't upset because he just broke his own record.

I'm looking for diehard fans in the Crossroads who plan on attending the premiere next Wednesday. If this applies to you, e-mail cdoty@vicad.com or call 361-580-6514.
