I have watched the three major channels over the last few years and the thing that kills their ratings is that they just drop shows, a lot of the times without notice. They will go on winter break and never come back and leave you hanging.
The leading cable channels promote in your face about new episodes, show 4 new ones and call it a season.
DVR's will eventually alter regular viewing if it hasn't already, I set mine to record only new shows and it seems I have to go in more often and delete shows no longer on the air.
SWAMP PEOPLE, SONS OF GUNS, TOP SHOT, AXE MEN, GOLD RUSH, AMERICAN GUNS,MUDCATS, MODERN MARVELS, and AMERICAN RESTORATION have their own cult followings. And, there is educational value and some ACTUAL REALITY in them.
