Did the Austin debate between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama sway you to one candidate or the other?
Experts have said the two are similar on a lot of issues.
But did discussions, in what is called the most crucial debate between the two, show you clear-cut differences that will sway your vote on March 4?
What's your take?

You’re straying from the truth, trying to make a point.
February 22, 2008 at 12:32 p.m.I never said anything about invading a country, but there is a difference between preemptive invasion and invasion to protect our homefront. Even Ron Paul, supported the invasion of Afghanistan. He said so in a debate.
Barack Obama is for a responsible withdrawal from Iraq. No contradiction in that statement. Foolish, is wanting to bring all of our troops worldwide home. That is
being ignorant in the area of foreign-policy.
Foolish, is thinking we will never have to retaliate or have our troops abroad promoting goodwill and at times, security for our allies. Welching on our treaties abroad is not the way to go.
There's more to this country than the Ron Paul Doctrine.
Ron Paul is going--nowhere. Well maybe back to congress. Obama wants to pull troops back. That is at least a start. You can't pull them all at once, a blood bath will ensue.
February 22, 2008 at 12:22 p.m.Hillary did a fine job..........
I just find it funny that you say Obama was against the war from the very start - yet you defend his stance to STAY in the war and possibly invade other countries.
February 22, 2008 at 12:03 p.m.You are like the politician he is. You can't really stand for anything.
I see trying to reason with you is pointless. You just talk yourself into contridictions.
Go Ron Paul!
First,Barack Obama has a realistic chance of becoming the next president of the United States. He is not refuted, by his own party. His voice will be heard around the world, and his influence will determine our future strategies, both domestic and foreign affairs. He would not be regulated to the House floor with two of three in attendance, and possibly 300 people watching on C-SPAN.
February 22, 2008 at 11:53 a.m.Barack Obama, is not a warmonger, but he will not back down in defending this country. Iran nay well be a power to contend with.
Our military leaders want and know that our country needs a larger presence in Afghanistan ,where the Taliban and Al Qaeda need to be dealt with.
George W. Bush is commander-in-chief, with the power to keep troops in Iraq, not funding these troops would be stupid and inhumane.
Introducing bills with no support is equivalent to "all hat no cattle." Empty rhetoric.
Our system of government requires compromise.
Barack Obama:
February 22, 2008 at 11:21 a.m.He DID NOT introduced a bill to end Iraq War in 2007
His Iraq Stategy: “We should NOT just come home.”
He DOES NOT have plans to remove all US troops from Iraq & Middle East
He DID NOT denounce a doctrine of pre-emptive warfare
He DID NOT take off the table future pre-emptive strike on Iran
He DID NOT take off table future escalation of Afghanistan war
He DID NOT VOTE AGAINST the plan to increase number of US military troops
He DOES NOT call for foreign policy of military non-interventionism
He WILL NOT reduce foreign military expense by $500 billion
He VOTED AGAINST calls to repeal “Patriot” Act.
He DID NOT VOTE AGAINST the mandatory national ID card act 2005
He DOES NOT calls to end all government subsidies to corporations
He DOES receive millions from big corporations (for his vote one way or another)
He DOES NOT calls to end the “inflation” tax which hurts the poor.
He DID NOT write a bill to protect Social Security fund
http://ronpaulaustin.com/feb23/endall...
Barack Obama DOES NOT rule out invading Iran.
Barack Obama VOTED FOR funding for the war.
How is that not Pro-War?
This is not made up stuff. It is all public information.
Ron Paul has gotten MORE money from ACTIVE MILITARY than ALL of the Republican's AND Democrats combined.
These are ACTIVE military members. Everyone says, "Support Our Troops."
Ron Paul is supporting them. He is THE ONLY ONE... and the donations PROVE it.
You guys are welcome to look any of this information up... it is public after all.
I am very happy that Barack Obama will probably be the nominee ,because I have seen him grow into an excellant debater. He will have a better chance challanging John McCain pro-Iraq war stance because he was against the war from the very start. Think about it ,all the big name canidates had cash flows problems except Barack Obama ,because he has about a million small donors.
February 22, 2008 at 10:33 a.m.It sounds as if the prevailing opinion is that Sen. Obama will be the Democratic presidential nominee. Are you happy about that?
February 22, 2008 at 9:31 a.m.IMO Hillary Clinton gave a very powerful concession speech, when she said that she would
February 22, 2008 at 9:15 a.m.abide by the rules, and that she would be just fine. She said she was honored to be on the
same stage with Barack Obama....Class Her campaign can see how Obama is closing in Ohio & Texas and whatever
you think of her,....She's no dummy.
Neither one is trying very hard to win. So what does that tell us? I think the two of them already know which one is getting the nomination and which one will run on the ticket for VP.
February 22, 2008 at 8:24 a.m.Everyone thought Hillary was going to come out swinging, but both were pretty civil. It was good to hear their differences on health care.
February 21, 2008 at 9:12 p.m.What I did see was that Hillary didn't do near enough to make a difference in the Texas primary. She needed a really big night and a stumble or two by Obama. It seems she is banking her attempt at a comeback on this pathetic plagiarism accusation. Is that all she's got? Gimme a break, she's had it now. She has no money and she completely expected this to be over on Super Tuesday. Poor, poor Clinton family. Ha!
And with the impending endorsement of Edwards, which is expected between now and Mar 4, it is really over.
