Hastings in Victoria opens its doors Friday night at 9 for a vampire prom -- in honor of the midnight release of Stephenie Meyer's "Breaking Dawn."
The book release opens the doors to this question: Who is Hollywood's worst actor?
While "Breaking Dawn" is the fourth installment of Meyer's popular series, her first installment -- "Twilight" -- is being made into a movie.
When directors announced the movie's cast -- including lead actor Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward -- folks everywhere posted harsh criticisms of the young actor.
And it got us to thinking ...
Hollywood, no doubt, produces poor flicks galore each year. But which actors are most guilty of polluting the big screen with even poorer performances?
Take your pick, right?
While I could rattle a dozen or so off the top of my head, I wanted to leave that to you. Tell us who you think couldn't act his way out of a paper bag and we'll use it in our story.
The story publishes Sunday alongside our coverage of the vampire prom and Meyer's midnight book release.
For you hard news junkies out there: Don't worry. We're not turning into Entertainment Weekly. It's OK to have a little fun sometimes and there'll be plenty of hard news this weekend.
As always, thanks for your help -- and cut.

Come, come. Will Ferrell was hilarious in Elf, a genuinely enjoyable family movie. His problem is he seems to prefer movies geared to adolescent humor.
August 1, 2008 at 10:36 p.m.While I realize that many people in comedy are never considered "actors", I have to add one other name to this list. Will Ferrell. I don't even know if I spelled his name right. He's not funny and he can't act. He just looks stupid on screen. No, I don't think that's the point of his movies -- there are many actors who play stupid characters on purpose. Jim Carrey comes to mind, and I happen to think he is a fine actor when doing drama, but I just don't get this guy Will Ferrell (Farrell?). Sorry, I just don't know the spelling.
August 1, 2008 at 11:35 a.m.Good Lord, put this on the calendar. I agree with freethinker about John Wayne who made a living portraying himself whether he was wearing a cowboy hat or a green beret. Same character, different outfit.
August 1, 2008 at 1:27 a.m.Chuck Norris, Jessica Simpson,Pauly Shore boy there are so many. I am not a big fan of Will Smith although I wouldn't say he is the worst actor. I always thought John Wayne was the same in every movie.
July 31, 2008 at 5:07 p.m.Let's see... Paris Hilton is a given, as is Mariah Carey. She should definitely stick to singing. Never really been a fan of Lisa Kudrow's. And can someone explain to me please how Katie Holmes is considered a good actress? I didn't care for her prior to marrying Tom Cruise and nothing's changed. in fact, she's become even more wooden if that's possible. Almost marianette-like in her movements. Don't like Andy Dick--he's supposed to be funny? In what universe? Nick Cannon [aka Mr. Mariah Carey] and Freddie Prinze Jr. [aka Mr. Sarah Michelle Gellar] -- not bad to look at for the most part, will never win Oscars for their work. In fact, they're so bad, they would lower the standards of the Razzies if they won [look it up, people]. Anyone who ever gives Britney Spears another "starring" role should be taken out back and shot, cause they clearly are a danger to themselves and others. Tyrese Gibson -- plays the same character no matter what the role actually calls for and does it badly. Oh man, how did I forget Jessica Simpson?? I change the channel if she's on a COMMERCIAL. Tom Green. 'Nuff said. Let me see, let me see... That's all I got for now, but I'm sure I'll come up with some more that I can add.
July 31, 2008 at 3:02 p.m.I will bundle them together. All the people in these goofy reality shows that think they are actors and actresses. Denise Richards for one. Arg. Big Brothers. Survival shows. Paris Hilton she was so stilted in a recent movie.

July 31, 2008 at 1:12 p.m.A little fun? This could turn into a 200-post extravaganza! I'll get things started with Kris Kristofferson, the most wooden actor to ever plonk around in front of a camera. He and Mud-donna should stick to singing.
Then there are actors who are deemed good by their peers and the paying public, but the very sight of them makes me lunge for the remote. Tom Cruise is one of those for whom I have such a visceral hatred I can't even be objective about his talent.
I'm sure I can come up with more.
