Certain Victoria County soils are more apt to prompt foundation problems in local homes.
Areas with clay are often worse than areas with sandy soils underfoot.
Without ample rain this year, the local soils are dry. For many, this is causing a shift in foundations and cracking throughout our homes.
Has your home suffered foundation problems, in part, because of low yearly rainfall? How bad have those problems become?
What are you doing to combat the minimal rainfall?
We're working on a story now to learn how bad the local problem is, where the worst soils are, which homeowners are most at risk and what you can do to offset the minimal rainfall.
We'd like to talk to homeowners or business owners who are dealing with foundation cracking, and to others who have tips about keeping homes on solid ground.
Thanks for your help.
