It's that time of year already. Thanksgiving. It's this holiday that sparks us all to remember all the reasons we're thankful.

With a crumbling economy, war in Iraq, dangerous southern border, health care problems, and a national housing crisis, this year may be a difficult one to pluck from for reasons to be thankful.

Still, we all have these reasons. What are yours?

I'm working on a light feature set to publish Wednesday. I'm curious to learn about why you're thankful this year.

As always, post your thoughts in here, or reach me at gsemenza@vicad.com or 361-580-6519.

Thanks for your help and Happy Thanksgiving,

  • I'm thankful for all the gifts God has given me and my family- love, health, and time together with each other, relatives, and friends.
Thanks Gabe and the VA for the "Thanks" section in the Viewpoints today. It was very inspiring to see what others are thankful for.

  • I'm thankful for my family and the wonderful times we spend together.  I'm also thankful that I've been able to build a relationship with Christ, I see my life as a blessing now, the good and the bad.  Last, but not least, I'm thankful for my new Torrent; the Sunfire just didn't cut it anymore in trying to haul around two growing boys!  LOL

  • I'm thankful that my friends and family love me, despite all my goofs. And I'm thankful that 3 of my friends are getting married to the loves of their lives!
