As you brace for Ike, we want to follow your preparations and potential evacuations.

Please share your stories and photos here each step of the way. This blog will be online and updated regularly until after Ike moves beyond South Texas, if the storm hits here.

This blog is also a great place to share tips with other readers. Is Lowe's out of plywood? Which grocery stores still have batteries and water? Any tip that helps your fellow readers is very appreciated.

First and foremost: Be safe. Here's to hoping the storm dodges the Coastal Bend.
