You have until this Friday, June 5, to vote for the five Crossroads residents you think are the most fascinating.
The list we've received so far is equally fascinating.
Everyone knows someone with a fascinating story to tell. The Advocate wants to celebrate those people.
To begin a new series, called the "Crossroads 10 Most Fascinating," we ask you to submit five candidates who fit the bill. You remain anonymous.
Candidates must simply be captivating or interesting.
Candidates must live in Victoria, Jackson, Lavaca, DeWitt, Goliad, Refugio, Calhoun, Wharton or Matagorda counties. And they must be still living. No historic figures for this series.
Your votes will be counted to form the list of the 25 most fascinating people in the region. On Sunday, a story will detail the names on that list.
Then, you'll vote to whittle the list to 10. In-depth profiles about each person will follow - beginning with the 10th most fascinating.
Any candidates come to mind?
