You're not alone. The percentage of Americans claiming no religion, which jumped from 8.2 in 1990 to 14.2 in 2001, increased to 15 percent last year.

Scholars dub this group the "Nones."

"The 'Nones' are the only group to have grown in every state of the union," said Ariela Keysar, a Trinity College scholar who conducted a survey released this week.

Advocate reporter Brandon Leonard is localizing this national trend.

"I'm working on a story about a survey released on Monday by Trinity College," Brandon said. "According to the survey more Americans are saying they do not identify with any religion. I'm looking to include people in my story who do not identify with a religion."

Have you chosen not to identify with any religion?

If you identify with a religion, what are your thoughts about those who do not?
