11:15 a.m. : Many houses on Parade of Homes open for touring, builder says

David Hurst, a local builder with a house on the Parade of Homes, said an event committee opted to leave to builders the decision whether to open doors today or whether to close them on account of rain and mud.

Hurst shared a list of homes he knows to be open today. They include:

  • Tony Prokop's Port O’Connor, Seadrift and two Victoria homes.

  • Hurst's home in Lake Forrest.

  • Rex Horst's home in Lakeview.

Hurst doesn't know about the others, he said.

As for homes Hurst didn't discuss, your best bet might be to check with the builder before traveling to a specific home.

If you decide to tour homes today, drive safe and stay dry.
