VIDEO: A look inside The Pumphouse, a future Victoria restaurant

Today, I toured The Pumphouse, a future Victoria restaurant, with owner Dennis Patillo.

The restaurant, which will be housed in the city's abandoned-but-historic pumphouse, is right on the Guadalupe River in Riverside Park. Plans include outdoor decks that overlook the river, which bends in this part of the park.

Patillo and his wife, Louise Hull Patillo, announced a few months ago that they planned to open such a restaurant. Since that announcement, they've been finalizing permits of all sorts. Construction and architectural work to begin restoring the building begins in just a few weeks.
