REPORT INCLUDED: Estimated economic effects of UHV expansion

Dale Fowler, president of the Victoria Economic Development Corp., sent out a mass e-mail today requesting support of Rep. Geanie Morrison's bill, HB 2556.

While the recipients of Fowler's e-mail were non-viewable, it is likely the e-mail went to business leaders and other residents.

In the e-mail, headlined "A Call to Action," he included a link to an economic impact study of a destination university in Victoria.

Of course, this study is old news. Given the legislation filed last week, however, its significance has cropped up again in new conversations.
