Why is it news worthy that a mother loses her baby? When we call to get you'll to do an article on a very worthy grandmother/judge/charitable/christian woman who needs a liver transplant, we get NO response......
Now, Margaret Chatham, retired judge in Seadrift, retires 2 years ago, comes down with a serious genetic disease, and needs our help, no one seems to care.
We are doing a benefit/fish fry/auction and can't get you'll to come do a story on her family- the WATER SAFARI connection, all of her years of service to families and the community. What, you don't see papers in Seadrift? We on the San Antonio Bay just don't seem to matter. IT's becoming a crying shame.
Your paper has become more about money than about news. Life is changing all around us, and there are GOOD, heart-warming stories out there. We offer, and hear nothing.
Maybe we will misplace a baby for a little while in Seadrift for a little while. We might get you to respond by then.
I have tickets at 746-4744. If anyone cares!

BECKEYBG: Do you mean about a mama who loses a baby related to child birth? Or the ones who get so drunk they can't remember where they leave their wee ones before trips "to the supermarket?" For what? For dumb butt pills?
May 9, 2011 at 12:34 a.m.We published a story on March 5 about the benefit. Here is the link: http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/news/...
It is also listed on the online community calendar.
I will be happy to talk to you Monday about possible future stories.
