Ok Ok... I know that we live in South Texas, and generally the weather is amazing (if a little dry lately!). But I am getting tired of this cold weather already. Maybe I am just a complete wussy when it comes to cold weather, but I am ready to permanently move to the Pacific side of Mexico.
Who's with me??? Let's pack up and open a kolache stand on the beach (hey, mexicans have to get tired of tacos sometime, right?!?).
Anyways, I work in customer service, and am constantly talking to people on the East coast, who are currently experiencing one of their worst winters to date, and I feel for those mofo's. Well, not literally, because I'm down here and not up there. And, I'm constantly being reminded by these people how much of an utter weiner I am when it comes to semi-frigid temps. But, you know what??? Let them come down here in the middle of July, and I will dance right around their ever-expanding puddles! HA! I might freeze, but I don't burn!
Boo-yah Yankees. Score one for the South. It's officially 1-0.

I'm with you...I live in Texas for a reason, besides being born & raised here. I hate the cold, I hate layering. Give me 100 degrees & I'm a little uncomfortable but I'm better than I am in 50 degree weather. I could never live any more north than I already do. What's that saying from the 70's oil crisis? Drive 70, freeze a Yankee! C'mon Spring, I'm done with winter.
January 27, 2009 at 3:49 p.m.I've actually enjoyed the weather we've been having. Sure my bottom is freezing on most days, but I can always put on an extra layer. Now in the summer time, you can only shed off so much clothing. I say, enjoy it while it's here!
January 27, 2009 at 11:43 a.m.But I sure am ready for some BBQ and swimming, though!
You are a true Texan. I am dreading the hot weather already. I leave the south just to hike the mountains and touch snow. I'm not sure the hub will be as much fun as the kids in a snowball fight, but I will try it once, just to see. Give me 50-60 degree weather any day. Oh kolaches-poppy seed like my granny used to make. She grew her own poppies. LOLOLOL
