This is the topic of an upcoming Pro/Con story that I'm working on for this week. Being that it is Hispanic Heritage Month, I'm particularly interested in whether schools should require students learn Spanish?

I'm posting this blog partly to let y'all know what I'm working on now that the Twilight Rapist trial has come to an end, but I'm also looking for people, WHO ARE WILLING TO GO ON THE RECORD WITH THEIR NAMES, to share their opinions/thoughts on the topic. If this is you, please contact me ASAP at gplatenburg@vicad.com or via phone at 361-580-6521. Remember, you have to be willing to give YOUR NAME AND CITY OF RESIDENCE.

Other stories in my reporter notebook this week include the following:

  1. More Hispanic Heritage Month stories. This will include a profile story on actor Santiago Villalobos as well one that those of you interested in the history of musical genres will enjoy.

  2. Any interesting court stuff that I come across this week

As always, if you all have any story ideas that you want to pass along my way, please feel free to get in touch with me. Have a great day!
