A recent Rock Center report foreign exchange program revealed that a foreign exchange placement organization placed high school-aged teens in American homes with murderers and sexual predators.
The placement organization wasn't terminated by the State Department until a year after the incidents were discovered, according to the article.
Around 50 foreign exchange students reported being sexually abused in 2010-2011 by their host parents.
This information comes revealed that high school foreign exchange students were housed with sexual predators.
The Inspector General's report listed 118 allegations between 2010 and 2011.
Public school districts across the country have been making a concerted effort to recruit students from overseas in the hopes that their tuition would help bridge the gaps in declining district revenues, according to the Huffington Post.
