Tortilla Sandwich

So first things first, in case you are wondering what this "Tortilla Sandwich" is all about let me explain.

It's not some recipe or the name of a new restaurant.

It's the best way to describe the essence of my background. It's a mixture of my Mexican and American heritage which once fused together creates the wonderful world I grew up in.

It's a culture where I watched every India Maria movie out there, woke up to episodes of El Chapulin Colorado and had atole for breakfast. Yet at the same time I never missed an episode of Saturday Night Live, craved my favorite meal of meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and fell asleep listening to the Ramones.

That's me in a nutshell.
