I know I have talked about how much I like Maine. There is one thing that took some getting used to however: the sun going down at 4 p.m.

So imagine my interest when I read this article:

Mainers embrace daylight time extension

Daylight-saving time is serious business in Maine.

Six months ago, state legislators introduced a bill proposing that Mainers vote on whether to move from the Eastern time zone to the Atlantic time zone. That would align the state with the Canadian Maritime Provinces and accomplish the same thing as staying in the Eastern time zone and extending daylight time year-round.

I can understand why the people in Maine want to move to another time zone. It sure does get depressing when it gets dark so early.
