I've been sniffling and sneezing since Tuesday, and as the image above shows the culprit is grass pollen.

Apparently Victoria is located between two of the allergen hotspots today: Click here to see a list of pollen hot spots.

The downside to suffering from allergies, aside from the headaches, watery eyes, sore throat, runny nose and general feeling of crumminess, is not having a clear mind.

I've had to reset passwords I used and couldn't remember in a matter of minutes, in conversation I've forgotten simple words, like that word for that clear, colorless, odorless, and tasteless liquid, essential for most plant and animal life and the most widely used of all solvents (pssst, it's called "water"), and I've nearly fallen out of my chair twice because it seems I've lost my sense of balance. So much for that non-drowsiness allergy medication.

All this will pass as soon as the pollen count goes down. In the mean time (or is it meantime?), I'll be passed out in a pile of old printers and monitors, babbling incoherently about mittens and soap. So in reality, my daily routine has not changed much.
