Image Belkin has announced a new cable that will make it easier to transfer files from a Windows machine to a Mac. Moving files to a new computer can be a tedious task, and then when you factor in two different operating systems, it can be tricky. But Belkin promises a simpler way to transfer files between two platforms.

The Switch-to-Mac Cable (priced at $49.99) is a USB dongle packaged with an "easy-to-use Migration Assistant " which then "automatically moves your music, movies, photos, files, and Internet preferences, making the transition from PC to Mac as seamless as possible." [Via]

The product is compatible with Microsoft XP and Vista, and Mac OS X v10.4 and v10.5.

While we are on the subject, are you a Mac or a PC? Would you ever switch over to a Mac (or vice versa)?
