  • VBB - Not that many, but you still seem them now and then, check writers.

I just thought of another "gadget" that I don't use. An alarm clock. I just set the alarm on my cell phone. Not that it helps me wake up any faster, or anything like that.

  • Chris - Never thought of that, must be why I haven't worn my Swatch watch in years.

bighorn - I also have many pet peeves about cell phone use. One is when I'm in a checkout line and the person paying at the register is on their cell phone, ignoring the cashier, or trying to write a check and talk on the phone at the same time, all while holding up the line.

  • And never mind the skills lost since the popularity of cell phones. Such as ...
The Ability to dirve an automobile without such a device stuck to one's face.
The Ability to speak quietly in public places.
The Ability to walk into a public place without stopping in the doorway and blocking the entry/exit of other patrons.
The Ability to walk with purpose in public places without mindlessly wandering in a mad cirlce while aimlessly searching for the unknown.
The Ability to make decisions without consulting verbally with others.
    The Ability to.......oh, never mind.....
