As news spread about the US Airways jetliner which crashed landed in the Hudson River, Twitter users were busy reporting what they saw.
Janis Krums from Sarasota, Florida posted what has been reported as the first photo on Twitter of U.S. Airways flight 1549. [Source: Silicon AlleyInsider.com]
Krums sent a post to Twitter that said, "There's a plane in the Hudson. I'm on the ferry going to pick up the people. Crazy." His post ( tweet) included a link to a photo he took from his iPhone (see photo below).
After Krums posted his photo, MSNBC interviewed him live on TV as a witness. Click here: MSNBC interview with Janis Krums

Wayward, I know a miracle when I see one. Have you ever had to try and fly a plane in unbelievable circumstances? I have. Trust me God's hand was in both events. The lawsuits-what are they going to get out the birds? This suit would have to go all the way back to the manufacturer of the barrier designed to reduce the impact of a bird or two. It was a flock of geese. Like one commentator said," We need more hunters." I like to bird hunt, but Manhattan is kind of crowded during season. LOL Think of all of the pilot witnesses for the defense. Birds have been and always will be a hazard to jets. It's hard enough to get a small plane to do what you want in emergency situations. The world witnesssed this Wayward. God doesn't need defense. Enough said.
January 16, 2009 at 1:19 p.m.Granny...No disrespect intended to either you or your obviously strongly held religious beliefs, BUT if God was involved here, why did he put the birds in the flight path of the Airbus in the first place? The USAir crew performed their jobs perfectly and Airbus built a stout airplane.
January 16, 2009 at 9:29 a.m.I wonder how long it will be before some idiot files a lawsuit against USAir, Airbus, the engine manuacturer and the catering company that put soap in the lav. If no lawsuits are filed in the wake of this crash, THAT will be the miracle!
Folks, I think we just witnessed a miracle, whether the unbelievers want to agree or not. I'm definitely checking for my flotation device from now on. That pilot definitely had a co-pilot other than his crew. Thank you, Lord . Thank you for this rescue and the man and his crew. Then the abundance of rescue teams, does it ever end Lord? For the world to witness that your hand is still on this great country is such a blessing. "I will lift you up as on wings of eagles." (paraphrase mine)
January 15, 2009 at 10:01 p.m.The last days will see miraculous events in the heavens. I never, never related this to jets........... until now.
