The Guadalupe River is expected to rise almost seven feet above flood stage and cause moderate flooding from Saturday afternoon until Tuesday afternoon.

This weekend our reporters will keep us informed via Twitter, using the hashtag #vtxflood. We'll gather all their tweets to a CoverItLive session we will post on the homepage of VictoriaAdvocate.com. We'll begin our coverage Saturday afternoon or sooner, if needed.

Twitter updates from you

We also want to hear from you. Add #vtxflood your tweets so they can also be included in our live coverage.

Your photos and videos

Send your flood photos and videos to the Victoria Advocate Posterous blog. E-mail your photos and videos to: post@advocate.posterous.com. The subject line is the title of the post. Once approved, your photos and videos will appear on the blog. We may use your photos in print, so please include the name of the person taking the picture.

River level map

You can also check the level of the Guadalupe River by visiting the GBRA's Flow and Lake Data map. The map is updated every 30 minutes with data obtained from USGS. Each red dot represents a USGS gage. Move your mouse over the gage to get the most recent data.

Stay safe this weekend.
