  • Good point and I think the general consensus is that despite the ongoing Google "Streetview" data capturing fiasco, Facebook is still perceived as the less trustworthy of the big internet players.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

  • I watched part of the announcement, but then got bored when Boz was demonstrating the system.

However, that said, when he was doing the demo, he mentioned the example of how his grandmother stored letters she received from his grandfather when they were dating, up until they married. She has those letters stored in a box. Boz compared the new messaging system to a digital storage place for all chat histories/messages with a loved one.

Thing is, with the security issues Facebook has had, can we trust them with our messages? Would we want to? That's just one thing that kept coming to mind.

  • Hopefully a time machine so I can travel back to a time when Steve Jobs didn't wear black turtlenecks and jeans and see if I can stop the fashion tragedy from ever occurring. (dur dur dum da dum - Terminator jingle)
