Well, it's Thursday. There's always that going for us.

We have another solid lineup of stories for Friday.

Our A1 package will be on the Bruce Ure scheduling hearing/city officials subpoenaed story. Our photographer Frank Tilley will be there to capture award winning photos. Court reporter Leslie Wilber will be there to provide all the action from the courtroom. And, reporter Allison Miles will provide you live updates via Twitter. Check it out on our home page.

Other A1 stories we're working on include the long anticipated VISD dress code changes. Guess what we're hearing? There will be no major changes. Also, we give you another local angle on the swine flu. A motorcyclist died in an accident late Wednesday night, the third major accident this week in a construction zone. Finally, we'll give you coverage of the hurricane conference.

For B1, we are covering the Black Stallion Literacy Program and the final ABR speaker of the season.

In sports, UHV opens tonight in the opener of NAIA qualifying tournament. We'll provide live coverage of that game on our home page with Twitter updates.

Please let us know what you think about these stories or if you have tips or suggestions on any others. Please remember, breaking news can change these plans.

P.S. Someday soon we'll actually publish that Goliad silversmiths story I've been mentioning all week.
