The Victoria County Commissioners Court unanimously authorized a letter to be sent to the Texas Railroad Commission. Commissioner Kevin Janak, the letter's author, said the goal of the letter is to stop the disposal well's installation.
"We are certainly happy to join in your opposition to the location of the injection well," Judge Don Pozzi said to about 20 people in the audience.

Really??
So if the Commissioners Court voted in favor of the well, it would've been "they don't care about the public! They're just worried about getting their pockets lined from the big oil and gas companies!!!"
So they do vote in favor of the public and the environment and it's now "they're costing us 20 jobs! The heck with the public and environment!"
Are u serious?? You people never cease to amaze me.
September 12, 2011 at 4:07 p.m....usesomelogic...do you realize thousands of injection wells are located ALL over the state near bodies of water and have been for decades and decades...in fact there are at least 4 other active disposal wells in Victoria county today....some may even be closer to the Guadalupe than the location of this newly proposed one...check your facts...it may add a 3rd digit to your IQ

September 12, 2011 at 3:35 p.m.Do you not realize that do to the location of this toxic dump site that not only is the well water at risk the entire towns water is at risk! This site backs up to our main water supply! "Gee Earl sure glad we got them there twenty new jobs....Cant drink water anymore but we got them jobs for sure!!"
Well, say goodbye to probably 20 well paying jobs and millions in local economic contributions. Who will employ these people now? Also, any new Oil & Gas company is likely to steer well clear of good ole Victoria now. Way to go County Commissioners!
September 12, 2011 at 3:27 p.m.OK? We support the VEDC as it brings industry to our communty. We want the jobs. We do not want the waste. What is wrong with this scenario?
