I really liked your comments but I think you got Memorial Day confused with Veteran's Day. Memorial Day is the day for us to
honor the soldiers that did lose their lives in war. Memorial day was started after the Civil War and it used to be called "decoration day" because people would go to the gravesites of the fallen soldiers and decorate them with flags and flowers. Veteran's day is the day that we honor all of the military, those that made it home and those that didn't and those that are still "over there".
