  • Barber says he wants to come out of retirement. It won't happen, but wouldn't it be great if nobody wanted him on their team.

From Wikipedia: "On April 28, 2011, Barber was quoted saying that his comeback was "not about the money" however; the New York Post ran a news story last year that contradicts that. They reported that Barber is coming back into the NFL because Barber was broke and couldn't pay his divorce settlement with his ex-wife."

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but HOW can anyone who made as much money as Barber did, both playing football and from NBC, be broke? That redefines stupid. Perhaps it illustrates his stupidity in what he said about being trapped in the attic. If he's stupid enough to lose all his millions, why would we be surprised that he would say something so stupid?

  • Imagine that - a spoiled, arrogant, self-centered sports star says something that reveals exactly how much education and character he possesses. THIS is why I HATE some professional sports figures and the obscene amount of money they make. Not all, mind you. To lump them all together would likely place me among them in smallness of mind. But displays of ignorance like this should be intolerable by a civilized society. Take away their millions, their diamond stud earrings, their gold teeth and their tattoos, and they become nothing more that what they are in their heart: common street thugs.

    Absolutely shameful.
