Word is the Los Angeles Dodgers are about to come to an agreement with outfielder Manny Ramirez.

The negotiations have been frustrating at times for Dodgers fans, who don't want to think what their team will be like without Ramirez.

Manny can mash. One of the best, if not the best hitters in the game. The Dodgers desperately need his bat in the lineup.

Ramirez was hardly pursued by other teams. His age and the length of the contract he was seeking, not to mention his agent is Scott Boras, scared some teams off.

Other teams were soured by his final weeks with the Boston Red Sox, where he was accused of quitting on the team.

The Dogers advanced to the N.L. Championship series with Manny last season and with a questionable pitching rotation, they will need his bat to get back.

It looks like dradlocks will be for sale again this season at Dodger Stadium.
