The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly cut loose wide receiver Terrell Owens.
The Cowboys will take a hit from the salary cap, but must feel getting rid of T.O. is addition by subtraction.
T.O. isn't getting younger and the headaches he causes become tiresome.
The Cowboys may be glad to be rid of Owens in the locker room, but they have to do something to replace him on the field.
Roy Williams becomes the No. 1 receiver by default. The Cowboys have to hope he performs better than he did after coming over from the Detroit Lions in a trade last season.
Will Patrick Crayton be No. 2 or does Cowboys owner Jerry Jones have another receiver in mind?
The new receiver won't come from the first round of the draft. The Cowboys traded that pick for Williams.
Stay tuned. Never a dull moment with the Cowboys.

Terrell "CryBaby" Owens....yep, definitely not a teamplayer. Adios, pal.
March 5, 2009 at 12:20 p.m.Which begs a couple of questions: Is T.O.s NFL career over and why didn't JJ wait and see if he could trade him?
March 5, 2009 at 10:32 a.m.I understand the 'Boys will part ways with Roy Williams-safety.
Wayward - McNabb is nearing the end. I would hate to see a star on his hat! I would not mind seeing the second string from NE though.
By the way, I knew TO would not last long in Dallas.
March 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m.I know this could be construed as blasphemy, but I don't think the Cowboys need a new backup quarterback as much as they need a new number one quarterback. Now that TO is gone, I'd like to see Donovan McNabb get mad at the Eagles and work a trade to Dallas. I'd love to see him with a star on his hat.
March 5, 2009 at 9:05 a.m.If you were Jerry Jones, who would you bring in to fill the void left by the Cowboys cutting Owens? Is Joey Galloway available?
