Image Greetings, Readers!

I hope everyone had a great day! I'm sure most of you read the Easter article about Craig's recent hospital stay. I've had so many mixed emotions about it that I felt the need to "BLOG" it out.

Craig and I just want everyone to know that he IS IMPROVING and feeling better every day. Of course there are rough days, but everyone has those. His strength is slowly returning and we are optimistic about him continuing to walk. His breathing treatments are a little inconvenient at times, but I'm pretty sure they won't be necessary forever. I was a little saddened to read the statement referring to his recent bout with pneumonia as possibly signaling the beginning of the end. If you know Craig, you know he's not ready to end anything in his life, except his ALS. Remember, he has ALS...it doesn't have him!!!

Ok...enough with the "King-sized", "315 pound frame", "jiggly body" comments!! Yes, Craig is a large man...we already know this and we can see it in the photos. There's just more of him to love as far as I'm concerned. Also, we are not getting tattoos!! That was a joke. We're both afraid of needles, so the closest thing to a tattoo I would ever get is a press-on. I just had to get that off my chest because several people commented about it and I thought my Mom was going to flip her lid when she read that in the newspaper.

The kids are doing pretty good...normal teenage life. Oh yeah, Bailey became an official teenager earlier this month. We celebrated with two birthday cakes and lots of presents. I think her 13th was a memorable one. I know I had a lot of fun hanging out with her.

I'm still trying to get Craig to get out of the house for a real date. He's been a little apprehensive about going out on the town. I think I finally convinced him to catch a movie with some friends from work. He really needs to leave the "Mancave" for a while. If you see us at the theater, you'll know who succeeded!! LOL!!

Craig's cousin from North Carolina visited this month. She has the same bubbly personality as him. I wish I could have spent more time getting to know her, but there's never enough hours in the day or days in the week for everything I want to do.

Easter weekend was great! Craig's brother and sister came to town for a quick visit. It's always nice to see them. I helped assemble some of the kids' Easter basket goodies...I think they were pleased. It's kind of hard buying kiddie stuff for teenagers.

Life seems pretty normal around the Fox home when I'm there. There are a few adjustments, a few disagreements, a bad mood here and there, but for the most part everyone tries to do their part and life goes on. I think this has been a speed bump for Craig to make him slow down. For a while there, I forgot he even had anything holding him back.

I'll let you know how our "first date after the pneumonia episode" goes. I'm sure we'll argue about what movie to watch. Someone is afraid to go to scary movies!! LOL!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Blog you later!!

Love, Alisa
