  • The power of the people has been slipping past our fingers for years. If we don't wake up soon to the facts it will be too late. Too much power in the hands of our "leaders" has corrupted them. The price of saving the America we love will be high. If we fail, our progeny will suffer greatly. Comparing what is happening in this country today to what has happened in other countries, I fear for FREEDOM! B.O. is wrong on too many fronts.

  • Yes, it seems that all that was had to be put up with in the last over 8 years (Code Pinko, Daily Kos, Media Mattes and all the other nut cases), now that it goes the other way it is a bad thing.

But these today are sensible at least.

  • While I support healthcare reform; I do not approve abridging or usurping peoples right to free speech, regardless if their voice is contrary to my own. This is America, and in America we have a representative government, elected to serve for the common good of the people.

We may differ on many things but on this we can not; failure to acknowledge the rights of citizens to petition their government is unconstitutional.

"My brother may speak against me; but that does not change, that he is my brother" - john

We can not help who our family is any more than we can our countrymen. The rights of all must be respected and defended; failure is not an option.

I would advise all to remember that change does not end; "treat others as you would want to be treated".

    We are all Americans.

  • It's good to see a rational common sense approach to a major issue for this country instead of paranoid hysterical fear mongering that had become so common. The American public have demonstrated again and again in these meetings that they are well informed and have legitimate reality based concerns about the issues.

  • Well put. Not much different than the tactics used by the Bush regime to demonize opponents of the offensive war in Iraq. When government resorts to manipulating the public with fear, they're representing someone/something other than The People.
