  • That's an interesting scenario but the so called sin tax has been in existence since I was a small boy....I can remember when Mexico was the place to get American cigarettes but today that is really out of the question...Too dangerous.
    IMO I don't think any convenience store will go out of business because of the high price of tobacco because people will continue to smoke and if they quit think of the health care costs that will be saved...Economics is an interesting subject and a cost & effect spreadsheet on tobacco prices would be interesting.
    Seems to me the tobacco lobby is losing their clout or the foreign market is lucrative enough because it passed on a bipartisan vote.
